Capt. Jos. Alexander, a former citizen of this town, but of late years a resident of Norfolk, Va., died on Tuesday last and was brought here on Wednesday afternoon and buried in the Baptist church yard, of which church he was for many years a consistent member. Capt. Alexander was 75 years of age, and was an honest up right man. He leaves a widow and three sons to mourn his death all of whom accompanied the remains to their last resting place.
