"Services were held yesterday at Zion Lutheran Church for F William Erfurth, who died Monday. Born at Egypt in 1897 to Frederick and Christina Erfurth, Erfurth and his brother had farmed the family ranch—homesteaded in 1892—until Frank Erfurth died in 1971. Sold last year, the farm is now worked by Dennis Reinbold. Married to Vera Buelow in 1925, Erfurth is survived by a son, Richard, and three grandchildren, William, Margaret and Joyce Erfurth, all of Creston; a sister-in-law, Helen Erfurth, Spokane; three cousins, Anna Erfurth and Harold Erfurth, Spokane, and Ernest Mellert, Camas. A member of Christ Lutheran Church, Erfurth was buried in the Egypt Cemetery. The Rev Stanley Williamsen officiated at the service, for which Milton Reinbold, Elmer Reinbold, Laurence Reinbold, Herman Reinbold, Robert Reinbold and Adolphe Reinbold served as pall bearers."
