He was born November 8, 1908 in Azle and was married to Lura Sermons August 31, 1951 in Decatur. He served 4 years in the military, and he was a retired plumber and carpenter.
Survivors are his wife; son, James Sermons of Decatur; daughters, Eva Jo Lee of Decatur and Betty Hipp of Roswell New Mexico; six brothers, Sam, Bill and Charlie Anderson of Decatur, Ed Anderson of Alvord and Luther and Rance Anderson of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home.
