DEATH TAKES MRS. CLEFISCH ON JANUARY 6
Pneumonia Fatal To Native of the Community
RITES THURSDAY

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Fred Clefisch, who died Sunday, January 6, 1946, following an illness with pneumonia. She had been in poor health the last year.

Burial at Ceres

The services at the home will be held at 1:30 p.m. followed by rites at the St. John's Lutheran church at 2:00 o'clock in charge of Rev. William F. Domres. Burial will be in the Ceres cemetery.

Louise Christina Clefisch was born May 21, 1891, at Ceres, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lewin. On September 18, 1912, she was married to Fred Clefisch at the Ceres church, and for five years they lived on a farm near there. Then they moved to the homestead farm between Guttenberg and Garber.

Lived In McGregor

In 1942 they moved to McGregor to make their home with their eldest son and in Februry, 1945, returned to the homestead farm. They later purchased a home in Guttenberg where they moved last November.

Mrs. Clefisch is survived by her husband, Fred Clefisch, and four children. Raymond of McGregor, Mrs. Carter (Hildegard) Smith of Garber, Harley of Guttenberg, and Kenneth at home, as well as a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Isadore Clefisch of Readlyn and four grandchildren.

Family Survives

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. John Tuecke of Sheffield, Mrs. Henry Timmerman of Plentywood, Montana, and Mrs. Leona Clefisch of Janesville, Wisconsin; two brothers, Lewis Lewin of Elkport and Raymond Lewin of Guttenberg.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lester, who died December 13, 1943, and Pfc. Harvey who died December 3, 1944, while serving with the First U. S. Army in Germany. Also preceding her in death were a sister and a brother.
