Verlinda J Legate, 86,1306 S. 9th St. died Saturday, April 19, in a Beatrice hospital. Born, March 26, 1889 Wymore. Beatrice resident f or 68 years. Member, W.S.C.S. of Cenendary United Methodist Church, past president of Beatrice Drove No. 10, B.P.O. Does, and Beatrice Federa ted Women's Club. Survivors; son Ted E. of Kearney; daughters, Mrs. Carl (Esther) Aller of Beatrice and Mrs. Lenord (Ruth) Kreuger of Evansville, Ind. ; sisters; Miss Zoa Ann Worden of Beatrice , Mrs. Frank Hobbs of Salinas, Calif. Mrs. Ben Van Amburg of Washington , Ks. And Mrs. Mad ge MeGaw of Miami, Fl.; six grandchildren and three great -grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Edmond W. , a son, two brothers , a sister, and a grandchild.
Funeral 2 P.M. Wednesday, Centenary United Methodist Church , the Re v. G. Richard Carter. Burial, Wymore Cemetery. Body in state at the church one hour preceding services. Memorials to the church, the church office and Griffiths Hovendick Chapel in charge.
