Nephew of Mrs. Thomas Penn Passed Away

World was received here Wednesday of the death of Fred Kunz, nephew of the late Thomas Penn, who passed away at his home in Corpus Christi Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Mr. Kunz had been in failing health for the past two years. He was 44 years of age.
Surviving Mr. Kunz besides his wife are three young daughters and two sisters, Mrs. Geo Montgomery of Waco and Mrs. Walter Rhodes of Laredo, and five brothers, Charles and Ed Kunz of Laredo, John, Albert and Harold Kunz of Corpus Christi.
Mr. Kunz was in the United States Navy during the World War. When he enlisted, he was Uncle Sam's youngest man.
Funeral services will be held in Corpus Christi this afternoon.

Paternal grandfather was Carl KUNZ.

Maternal grandparents were Joannis Philippi PINN of Üxheim, Vulkaneifel, Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany and Veronica GIEFER of Leudersdorf, Vulkaneifel, Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany.

He was married to the former Pauline PFEIFFER.

He worked as a tax assessor and collector for the water district.

Cause of death was prostate cancer.
