Frances J. Gerszewski, 92, Oslo, MN, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, ND.

Frances Josephine Sherlock was born January 26, 1916 in Oslo, MN, the daughter of the late Ray and Mae (McKenzie) Sherlock. Frances attended school in a one room school house in Walsh County, North Dakota. Frances married Ernest Paschke on April 2, 1945 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo. Following their marriage, they lived on the Paschke farmstead in Walsh County.

Ernest preceded her in death on February 14, 1954. Frances moved to Oslo, MN, where she met Adam Gerszewski. Frances and Adam were married on June 6, 1956 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo. They moved to the family farm where they lived until Adam's death on April 17, 1978. Frances continued to live on the farm with her son Joseph Paschke until 1986 when she moved to Grand Forks, ND. In 2007, she moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton where she resided until her death.

Frances was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo, MN, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Royal Neighbors of America and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 331, Oslo, MN. She loved gardening, crocheting, making quilts and embroidery.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Frank) Palmer, Minneapolis, MN; her sons, Joseph (Jessica) Paschke, West Oslo, ND, Gary (Roxie) Gerszewski, Grand Forks, ND; a brother, James (Alice) Sherlock, West Oslo, ND, a sister-in-law, Ellen Sherlock, Manvel, ND; grandchildren, Brian Palmer, Minneapolis, MN, Jennifer Palmer, Fort Collins, CO, Preston and Garrett Sweeney, Fargo, ND; many nieces and nephews and her aunt, Mae Gorman, Warren, MN.

She was preceded in death by, her parents, husbands Ernest Paschke and Adam Gerszewski and a brother, Raphael Sherlock.
She was married to Ernest Paschke and had two children with him before his death. He is also buried in the Catholic side of Riverside Cemetery. It would be nice to have her first husband linked to her since she had children with him. Adam Gerszewski was her second husband and she had one son with him. Frances was my husband's aunt.
