FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TODAY

Mrs. Ina C. Miller Passed Away Saturday Night at Home in Rush County.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ina C. [Louise] Miller, widely known resident of Homer, whose death occurred at 10:20 o'clock Saturday night at her home, were held at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon from the Homer Christian church with the Rev. S. M. Connor of Indianapolis officiating. Burial was at the Hurst cemetery with Ezra Carmony, funeral director, in charge.

Mrs. Miller's death resulted from a complication of diseases and an apoplectic stroke which she suffered on June 5. Since that date, her condition had been critical.

The daughter of William and Nancy Gardner, Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 22, 1853, being at the time of death, eighty-two years, three months and twenty-four days old. She had spent her entire lifetime in Rush county and had hundreds of friends in Shelby and adjoining counties who regret to learn of her death.

In 1872 [*1873], she was united in marriage to William S. Miller and they were the parents of six children, five of whom survive. They are Mrs. Della M. Orme, Omer A. , Clennie C. , Carey [Carie] E. and Raymond Miller, all of Rush county. [Orlie, Robert and Adam predeceased her.] She also leaves sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and a half-brother, R. E. Mahan, of Greensburg.

For many years, Mrs. Miller had been active in affairs of the Homer Christian church, of which she was a member.

[*Note: The correct marriage date is 02/27/1873 per the Rush County, Indiana, Marriage Record 1862-1882 Bk 9, 10, & 11, Book 10, OS Page: 366]
