He was born July 27, 1932, in Ripley County and remained a lifetime resident. On April 25, 1952, he was married to Annie R. Johnson, in Pocahontas, Ark., and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and David Watson, Debbie and Dennis Cox, and Karol and Wilbert Smith, all of Doniphan; one sister, Jessie Miller, Doniphan; one brother, Hubert Drane, Strathmore, Calif., and nine grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, at the Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. William Pitts of Moberly officiating. Burial was in the Bardley Cemetery. Prospect News, October 1988
