Albert was the last surviving Union Civil War Veteran. Honorably discharged on September 7, 1865. Albert died at age 109 in 1956! WOW! How we love those Centurions!!! We just want to say THANK YOU!!! XOXOXO

Senior Vice Commander-in-Chief and last surviving member of the Grand Army of the Replublic (G.A.R.), Albert Woolson granted a Deed of Conveyance on 13 Feb 1954 transfering all property and records pertaining to the G.A.R., and making the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) the legal heir and representative of the G.A.R.
