Monte Lee Grover, 66, of Rigby, died Sunday, August 9, 2009, at his home, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born April 29, 1943, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Mark Grover and Erma Arvella Boulter Grover. He grew up in the LaBelle area and attended schools in Archer and Rigby. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.
On May 7, 1978, he married Lou Anne Morgan in Elko, Nevada. He was owner of Monte Grover Drywall and did drywall all over the world. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Quarter Horse Association. He raced quarter horses throughout the Intermountain West. Monte enjoyed going to Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Anne Grover of Rigby; children, Lorri (Mark) Dixon, Trisa (Kirt) Baron and Randy Wadsworth, all of Idaho Falls, Wendy Sill of Farmington, Utah, Greg Grover of Purdue, Indiana, Justin (Jerilee) Grover of Menan and Russell Wadsworth of St. George, Utah; siblings, Elna (Larry) Guymon of Garfield, Marilyn Glenn of Idaho Falls and DeMar (Valerie) Grover of Archer; 26 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Barbara Ann Reynolds; sons, Troy K. Radford and Darren Mark Grover; one brother; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 14, at the Rigby LDS East Stake Center. Burial will be in Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
