Lewis Warner was enumerated in the 1860 through 1880 U.S. Censuses (and the 1865 state census) in East Bend Township, Champaign County, Illinois, where he purchased the farm that had belonged to Harmon Hillsberry. He reportedly returned late in life to Fairfield County, Ohio, and died in the county's Walnut Township.
