He reportedly returned late in life to Fairfield County, Ohio, and died in the county's Walnut Township.
While Lewis Warner has a veteran's memorial, and is listed in Card Records of Headstones Provided for Deceased Union Civil War Veterans, details of his military service are not known. ****UPDATE: Sgt.
