Evelyn "Evy" M. Anderson, age 83, of Rock Island, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at her home. Funeral services were at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial was in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.
Evy was born August 29, 1925 in Oneida, IL, the daughter of Alvie and Anna Bell (Thompson) Hall. She married Glenn W. Anderson on June 9, 1945 in Grove City, MN. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1991. Evy loved baseball and was a die hard Dodger fan. She enjoyed working on hook rugs and collected Depression Blue Glass. She loved spending time with her family, her two cats Boots and Socks and her dog Honey.
