MAESER, Uintah County—Keith Markham Ashby, 21, Maeser, died in a Vernal hospital Sunday at 9 p.m. of hypertension.

Mr. Ashby was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Vernal, a son of Alma Curtis and Eva Clark Ashby. He attended Maeser School and Uintah High School in Vernal, where he was a member of the Ag Club.

Mr. Ashby was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as an adviser of the Teachers'
Quorum. He was secretary of the Maeser Young Mens Mutual Improvement Assn. and was an elder. He was working on a
ranch in Western Colorado when he became ill.

Surviving are his mother, two brothers, Ralph and Donald Ashby and two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Bingham and Mrs. Earl Marshall, all of Vernal.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Maeser First LDS Ward Chanel by Harvey McKee, bishop. Friends may call at Vernal Mortuary Tuesday evening and the family home in Maeser Wednesday from 11 a.m. to time of services. Burial will be in Maeser Fairview Cemetery.

KEITH ASHBY FUNERAL HELD ON WEDNESDAY.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Maeser Chapel under the direction of Bishop Harvey McKee, of Maeser First Ward, for Keith Markham Ashby, 21, son of Mrs. Eva Ashby, Vernal, who died Sunday evening in Uintah County Hospital of hypertension. At the time of his death he was working with a cousin, Glen Ashby on Clark Jones ranch in western Colorado.

Mr. Ashby was born February 15, 1931, at Vernal, a son of Alma Curtis and Eva Clark Ashby. He received his early education in Maeser schools and was active in the Future Farmer Association of Uintah High School.

An elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he served as advisor and secretary of the Mutual Improvement Association in Maeser First Ward.

Survivors include his mother, Vernal; two brothers, Ralph and Donald Ashby, Vernal; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Bingham and Mrs. Earl Ashby, also of Vernal.
