OBITUARY:

Gerry L. Strain, 63, Fairbanks, died at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 1997, in Union Hospital, Terre Haute.

He was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Fairbanks to Laurens "Sport" and Mary Ellen Drake Strain. He was employed as an extruder at Bemis Bag Co. He was an Army Vetran and a member of the Riverview Men's Club, Shelburn American Legion and Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Clark Strain; one son Gregory Strain, Chicago; one sister, Sue Adams, Fairbanks; and other relatives.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Myers officiating. Burial is in Pogue Cemetery with graveside military services by Shelburn American Legion. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
