John Henry Gregg was born in Richards, Grimes Co TX and died in Austin Travis County TX. He married Ida Ethel Page and had 3 children. 1. Hiram John "Johnny" Gregg who married Doye Nell Townsend, 2. Mayola Gregg who married a Mr. Wallace 3. Lloyd Vernon Gregg who married first Mary Jewel Ham and 2nd Josephine "Jo" Adair Barrett Davis.

After many years of marriage Ida divorced John Henry. He suffered a nervous breakdown over the divorce and was treated at a hospital in Austin Texas. He never got over the divorce and died in the hospital in Austin.

Ida was the daughter of John W. Page and Ida C. (unknown). Ida Page Gregg was born 28 Nov 1899 in Independence Arkansas and died 6 July 1989 in Harris Co TX.

When I was young my mother would take my brother and I to visit Uncle John and Aunt Ida. During WW II Lloyd Vernon would visit us in Conroe. Lloyd and my mother stayed close over the years. He would visit with her after he lost his eye site ~~ his 2nd wife and my mother had a good relationship and Jo would bring Lloyd to visit. Lloyd suffered from diabetes.
