MACON -Herbert L. Jackson, 67, of Macon died 12:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 3, 1991) in his home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in First Christian Church of Moweaqua with visitation after 5 p.m. Friday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Moweaqua, and 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Bilyeu

Mr. Jackson was born in rural Moweaqua on Aug. 1, 1923, son of Willie A. and Florence E. Schrader Jackson. He was a lifelong self-employed farmer in the Moweaqua and Macon area. He was a member of Moweaqua Christian Church, a 47-year member of Moweaqua American Legion Post 370, a member of South Macon Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Board of Directors for Moweaqua Farmers Co-Op Grain Co. He was a member of Moweaqua VFW Post 2705, a past board member of Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District and past Shelby County Commander of the American Legion. He married Frances A. Lamm on Jan. 25, 1947.
Surviving are his wife; his daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Buck Schmahl of Assumption; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Beth Jackson of Macon; grandchildren, John and Karen Schmahl and Amy Jackson; brothers, Earl W. of Delevan, N.Y.; Paul J. of Saginaw, Mich.; Kenneth M. of Latham; sister, Eleanor A. Williams of Moweaqua.
His parents, two brothers, Raymond C. and John A. Jackson, and sister, Katherine Jackson, preceded him in death.
