In memory of Mr. Abel Bishop, who died Dec. 18, 1801, in the 60th year of his age.
Also of Mrs. Mary Bishop, his wife, who died Aug. 9, 1814, in the 73d year of her age.
Abel Bishop, their son, died in Georgetown, South Carolina, Aug. 1., 1808, in the 35th year of his age.
(Note: Headstone is now missing. All 3 inscriptions were on the same monument. The inscription was recorded in the Morning Journal and Courier (New Haven), 14 May 1895, p.8)
