Maria Krause, 88, longtime Dryden resident, passed away Monday morning in a Wenatchee hospital. She was born March 25, 1889 at Kram, N.D., and moved to Krupp (now Marlin) where she was raised. She was united in marriage to John Krause July 16, 1907 at Odessa and they lived in Marlin until 1917, when they moved to Dryden. They operated a fruit ranch there until Mr. Krauses death in 1960. She moved to Wenatchee in 1966. Mrs. Krause was a charter member of the Dryden Community Church. Surviving are 4 daughters. Ester Krause, of Wenatchee; Lydia Webster of Centralia; Kathrina Ramm of Walla Walla; and Emma Goehner of Peshastin; 4 sons, Arthur and Harvey of Wenatchee; David of Renton, and Harold Krause of Orondo; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a son, Albert.
