Marion Barnett, 74, a 35-year resident of Cashmere, A died at a Wenatchee hospital Saturday following an extended Illness. Mrs. Barnett was born June 26, 1900, in Wyzetta, and moved to Seattle in 1917. She was married to James S. Barnett Sept. 26, 1925, in Seattle. They moved to Cashmere in 1940, where Mr. Barnett was station operator for the Great Northern Railroad until his death In 1950. Mrs. Barnett was employed by Blue Star Growers in Cashmere and was a member of the Episcopal Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Elaine) De Lancy and Mrs. Melvin (Gladys) Ward, Cashmere, and Mrs. Duane (Myrtle) Armstrong, East Wenatchee; one son, Leslie Barnett, Cashmere; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Byron Plumb, Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Braun Funeral Chapel with Rev. Edwin Hitchcock officiating. Mrs. Larry Titus played the organ and sang "In the Garden." Burial took place in the Cashmere Cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers, Gordon Geyer, Bob Purcell, Earl Fjelstad, Jim Kill, Mike Michael and Jim Scammahorn. The Braun Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
