Judge Chandler Woodward Hill died at his home at Drewrysville, Southampton County yesterday. He was for thirteen years judge of the Hustings Court of Portsmouth and for eight years judge of the Circuit Court of that district. He was a gallant Confederate soldier, and lost an arm in the seven day’s battles around Richmond.
