"The deceased was born in Missouri October 16, 1886. She moved with her parents to Murphysboro when nine years old. She and Fred Ahlheim were united in marriage Jan. 24, 1903. Nine children were born, the father and eight of whom survive. They are: Mrs. Elma Herron, Sparta; Mrs. Ina McCoy, Sparta; Mrs. Irene Howell, Murphysboro; Mrs. Mildred Rogers, Murphysboro; Orpha, Maude, Fay and Billie Ahlheim, at home. One sister, Mrs. Claudie Underwood, Murphysboro; two brothers, Andrew Cochran, Johnston City, and Herbert Cochran, Murphysboro; and her father, William Cochran, Marion, also survive."
