Delbert Wayne Allbee was born on 11 September 1930 in Crook County, Wyoming. He is the son of Franklin and Elsie Adelle (Montgonery) Allbee. Franklin was born in Lusk Wyoming on 23 February and died in Sandpoint, Idaho on 26 October 1962. Elsie hailed from Oakdale Nebraska wher she was born on 4 August 1890, and she passed away on 23 January 1947 at Sand Point.
On 12 April 1948 Delbert was inducted into the United States Army, where he served during both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He served honorably until being retired, after 20 years, 2 months, and 17 days. He was a Staff Sargent at the time of his retirement, on 29 June 1968.
During his service he served overseas, and while in Germany he met and eventually married Helga Margareth Rupp. In 1954, upon returning to the United States, Delbert brought his wife Helga to her new home. They remained together until Delberts death.
On 31 March 1999, at the age of sixty eight, Delbert passed away. He was laid to rest in the Washington Veterans Home Cemetery.
