Mrs. Flora Blair Dies At Age Of 88

Mrs. Flora Bell Blair, 88, of Huntington Route 4 died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Wells County Hospital, where she had been a patient for 21 months.

Born in Preble County, O., Dec. 30, 1879, she was a daughter of Henry and Amanda Surfus Fudge. Her marriage to Charles Emery Blair, who died in 1954, took place Feb. 26, 1902 in Liberty Center.

A Huntington County resident since 1918, she was a member of the Africa Church near Mt. Zion.

Surviving are six daughters, Miss June Blair, at home, Mrs. Grafton (Blanche) Souers and Mrs. Mary Ellen Beck, both of Warren Route 3, Mrs. Elton (Neona) Cloud of Warren Route 2, Mrs. Grace Stock of Jonesboro and Mrs. Pearl James of Jonesboro Route 1, three sons, Russell, at home, Paul of Warren Route 2 and Elza of Poneto Route 1; 11 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the family residence near Buckeye. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Beaver United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in the Mossburg Cemetery.

H. Brown and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
