He married Doris M. Burrows November 30, 1956 in Los Angeles. She died November 16, 1997.
Dad served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and with the U. S. Marine Corp in Korea.
He was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and was an avid golfer but also enjoyed bowling, mall walking, and having breakfast with friends.
He is survived by three daughters, Laurie (John) McNichol of Port Huron, Patti (Dave) Stevens of Dallas, Texas and Tammy (Chris) Schultz of Shelby Township; two grandchildren, Jessica Bailey of Port Huron and Kirk Alderson of Shelby Township.
Visiting hours will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009 in Pollock Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Robert P. Trask will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and Blue Water Hospice.
