Funeral services fro [sic] Mrs. Effie M. (Grandma) Gilman, 94, who died Saturday at a local nursing home, will be conducted at 9 a.m., Wednesday from the Prince Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Lethgo officiaitng, assisted by Rev. Robert Wilbanks, Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. at Wheeler cemetery in Wheeler, Tex., with the Rev. Robert Wilbanks Jr. officiaing. Steed-Todd funeral home is in charge of the arrangemtns.
Mrs. Gilman was born August 13, 1882 in Junction City, Tex. and has been a resident of Clovis for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Prince Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, John Gilman of Sanford, Tex., Rimmer Gilman, and W.J. Gilman both of Abilene, Tex., James L. Gilman, and Roy L. Gilman both of Orlando, Fla., and E.J. Gilman of Merced, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Wilbanks of Corpus Christi, Tex., Mrs. Willis Wallis of Spearman, Tex., Mrs. Eva Murphey of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Marie Rose of Clovis; 26 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Orval Jones, David Jones, Harry Robbs, Jr., Terry Potter, Floyd Robinson, and Henry Robinson.
