Helen E. Arnold, age 93, passed away April 23, 2009, at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. The former Helen Shaw was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on July 30, 1915 to the late Charles Shaw and Louise (Thurman) Shaw.
On May 30, 1934 Helen Shaw married Jack Arnold in Birmingham, Michigan and he preceded her death on April 20, 1983.
She was a member of the Vassar F.O.E. No 2380 and the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors included her children, Louise (Allen) Goodman of Vassar and Jack (Miriam) Arnold of Hinesville, Georgia; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lillian Church of Clare and several nieces and nephews.
Helen Arnold was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
