Earl William Boslet
Mr. Boslet, 90, of 3143 Spruce Ave., formerly of 2534 3rd Ave., died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, Sept 10, 1984, in Mercy Hospital, after a brief illness.
Know as Abe, Mr. Boslet retired as assignment supervisor and switchman from Bell Telelphone in 1957, after 47 years service.
He was born March 31, 1894, in Altoona, the son of Milton and Anna Mary (Sherry) Boslet, and Sept 23, 1924 in Altoona, married Olice Lucy Karstetter.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Nancy Gallice, with whom he resided, and four grandchildren.
Mr. Boslet was a member of Sacred Heart Catholice Church and a former member of Knights of Columbus. He was a past Boy Scout leader at the church.
He was also a life member of the Telelphone Pioneers of America and a member of the Telephone Workers of Pennsylvania and Horsehoe Curve Life Member Cluf of the Leonard H. Kinnard Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home.
BOSLET - The funeral of Earl W. Boslet of 3143 Spruce Ave., will be held with a mass oc Christian burial at 9 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, by the Rev. Monsignor Anthony J. O'Toole. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home, where a rosary will be held by the Legion of Mary at 7:30 p.m. followed by a wake service at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
