EDELINE GERONIN BENSINGER, 100, of Memphis, homemaker, died Sunday at Memphis Jewish Home. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Temple Israel Cemetery. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She was volunteer and music teacher for Memphis Veterans Medical Center, member of National Council of Jewish Women and Temple Israel Sisterhood, graduate of Lindenwood College and a Gray Lady of Kennedy Veterans Hospital. Mrs. Bensinger, the widow of Lloyd Bensinger, leaves two sons, H. I. Summerfield and Jerry Summerfield, and a stepdaughter, Jeanne Sebulsky, all of Memphis, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Memphis Jewish Home or a charity of the donor's choice. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 4/16/2002)
