Jackie Lee Sterling

Jackie Lee Sterling, 55, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, in MCV Hospital in Richmond.

He was born in Newport News, Virginia and was the son of Frances Foster Sterling and the late David Carter Sterling, and was preceded in death by his wife, Donna B. Sterling. Jackie had worked for many years in the automotive parts business and had retired from Bill Hudgins Pontiac, GMC after 11 years of service. He was also a member of Newington Baptist Church in Gloucester.

He is survived by his sons, Barry Thomas Sterling and his wife Tiffany, and Bruce Lee Sterling; his mother, Frances Foster Sterling of Gloucester; his sister, Frances Ann Minor and her husband Wendell; his brother, David F. Sterling and his wife Judy; and 2 grandsons, Brandon Lee Sterling and Carter Bradshaw Sterling.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, in Bellamy Memorial Cemetery by Rev. Michael Graon. The family will receive friends at Andrews Funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 29 from 7 to 8 p.m. and at other times will be at the home of Mrs. Frances F. Sterling.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1417, Gloucester, Va. 23061
