Eva M. Curl of Mitchell, IN, died Sunday, February 21, 1999, at her residence. Born on April 27, 1932, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Hugh F. and Mary Hazel (Hobbs) Pickens. She married Richard Curl on June 1, 1957, and he survives.
Also surviving are one son, Mark Curl of Mitchell, IN; one sister, Joan Briner of Mitchell, IN; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Steven Curl.
A 1950 graduate of Mitchell High School and a 1954 graduate of Indiana University, she taught social studies a total of thirty-one years at Walkerton, Gosport and Mitchell Community Schools. She was a member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church and was a world traveler.
Services for Eva Curl will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 24th, at Chastain Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Kirkman officiating. The body will be cremated.
