Edwin Philip "Eddie" Arnold, 95, of Owensboro, KY, formerly of Rockport, IN, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009, at the Carmel Home in Owensboro, KY. Edwin was born on October 20, 1913, in New Albany, IN, to the late William & Martina (Ritter) Arnold. He was an Army veteran and was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1978. He was a lifelong member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Schaeffer Arnold on May 12, 2008; a sister, Aliene Winkler; brothers, Emil, Gerhard, Roy, Clarence, Erwin & Cletus Arnold. Edwin is survived by his son, Kenny Arnold & his wife, Dana, of Owensboro, KY; grandson, Schaeffer Arnold of Louisville, KY; step-granddaughter, Lynette Zoglmann of Owensboro, KY; step-great-granddaughter, Lacey Zoglmann of Owensboro, KY; brother, Jerome Arnold of Chicago, IL; sister, Zita Cussary of South San Francisco, CA; several nieces and nephews. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2009, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, IN, with Father Eugene Schmitt officiating. Burial is in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in Rockport, IN. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today, February 11, 2009, and from 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, IN. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. today.
