Miss Clara Fraser, the 17 year old daughter of james Fraser, rurual mail carrier on route NO. 15, died of hemorrahage of the lungs Saturday about noon at the home of her parents. She has been ailing for several years, but she seemed to be feeling somewhat better than usual in the morning than she had felt for a long time, and her death came very unexpectedly. She had been over to a neighbor's house, Mrs. Ross, and was returning home,when she stepped up on the proch, she began coughing and this caused the hemorrhage. Her mother saw the blood rushing from her mouth and ran to her assistance, but could do her no good, as she died almost instantly. The doctors were sent for, but she was dead before they arrived.
Mr. Fraser was out on his route at that time and knew nothing of his daughter's death until he returned in the afternoon. The furneal services were held in the Union church, west of Atlanta, and Rev. Frank P. Morris of the M.E. church here, preached the sermon. the intermoent was in the Union Cemetery.

Sadness and sorrow were spread over all when the Lord came for his own and took away the devoted daughter of James Fraser and wife, Mary E. She leaves to mourn her depature her fond parents, two sisters and four brothers. She had one sister to preceed her to the grave. Though only a child, her life's errand, that of love was accomplished. Her glad, happy and winsome way had entwined her childhood love around the heart of her afectionate parents who alone can realize the breaking of these ties. Greatly wills he be missed from the small family circle, and her departure leaves in their lives a vivid empty space which time and changes will never fill, no not even smooth over While it is hard to give up the treasure of one's heart, yet, through the gloom and darkness may we say, 'thy will, O Lord, be done," for the soul that would rise higher must not sink, when it is night, for the night is givne us only to prepare for greater things and the darkest portion of it some times the greatest blessings brings.
