Helena "Lenie" Laugeness
Helena Dell Laugeness, age 83, of Moorhead, died peacefully at home Saturday May 24, 2008 surrounded by her family.
Helena was born December 23rd, 1924 in Amenia, ND, the daughter of John and Ann Weerts. In 1942 she married Leonard Laugeness in Anoka, MN. They later moved to Fargo, then Moorhead where they raised their three children.
She worked at the Fargo VA Hospital and retired in 1985 as the Assistant to the Chief of Dietetics.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard, her brother Bud, two sisters, Elizabeth Gade and Lucille Wasescha and her parents.
She is survived by her two sons, Ted (Shirley), and Olie (Chris), daughter Becky (Bill) Drussell,her sister Rosie Hardwick; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
There will be no funeral services as requested by Helena.
