Las Vegas - A funeral for Theodore E. "Ted" Drennon, 82, who died Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Bunker Funeral Home.
A native of Seward, Okla., he was born Sept. 14, 1908, and had lived in Las Vegas since 1979, coming from Reno, where he had lived since 1938.
Drennon was manager of Home Lumber and Coal Company in 1938 and in 1945, he became part owner of the lumber yards in Reno and Las Vegas and later became owner of the Reno firm re-named Home Lumber and Supply Co. He retired from the business in the early 1970s.
He was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge, served 33 years as a director for American Federal Saving Bank and was a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his widow, Sylvia, son, Ted Jr., and a daughter, Karen Yates, all of Las Vegas; sisters, Jess Thurston of Needham, Mass., Olah Becker of Tuscon, Ariz., and Ocie Heady of Washington, D.C.; and one granddaughter.
Burial will be in Las Vegas.
A memorial is being established with Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children. Zelzah Shrine Temple, 2222 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas 89106.
