Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2001, in the Pinkard Haleyville Chapel with Richard Crumpton officiating. Burial was in the Winston Memorial Cemetery with Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville directing.
Mrs. Baccus was a life long resident of the Haleyville area and was a member of the Bear Creek No. 1 Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Veto Preston Baccus of Haleyville; son, David Preston Baccus of Bear Creek; daughters, Carolyn Lee Waid and Leisa Dianne Baccus both of Haleyville; sister, Edith Faye Smith of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, Jonathan Ray Hicks, Kassidi Lee Waid, Austin Benson Waid, Daylon Preston Baccus, and Devon Lee Baccus.
