Edith (She later used Edythe) is the daughter of John Eldon and Mary Louise (Murray) McKinley both born in Iowa. She is the youngest of three children. Brother Harry Irvin McKinley (eldest of the children) died of scarlet fever at age 10 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery at Creston, Union County, Iowa. Sister Orrel Irene (Jorgensen, then Bussey, then Williams) died in LeHigh Acres Florida; she is buried in Lee Memorial Cemetery at Ft. Myers, Lee County, Florida beside her husband, William Asa Williams. Edith was first married to Homer Richard Smith 19 Oct 1922 in Papillion, Sarpy County, NE. They divorced on 9 January 1930 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, IA. They had only one child, Helen Marie (Smith) Rolfe. On 23 May, 1934, she married William J. Wilkening in Council Bluffs. They divorced without any children at a presently unknown time. Edith then Married Joseph Quinten Buck on 17 September 1941; together they had no children. Edith and Joe are buried within ten feet east of her parents - John and Mary McKinley and her Uncle - Frank McKinley.
