Archie Allison

Archie A. Allison of Hookstown, retired grocer and garage operator, died Tuesday night at 11:45 in his home after a lengthy illness. He was 66. Born in Georgetown Dec. 25, 1897, to the late Henry Allison and Adda McClurg Allison, he had retired in 1953. He was a member of the Hookstown Presbyterian Church. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Daisy Reed Allison at home; four brothers, Charles Allison of Shippingport, Harry Allison and Frank Allison, both of Georgetown, and John Allison of Hookstown, and three sisters, Mrs. Belle Morrow of Shippingport, Mrs. Helen McCombs of Weirton and Mrs. Mary Wright of Chester. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester by the Rev. Alexander Wilson of the Hookstown Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel tonight and Thursday.
