Rita A. Carlson, 56, Lockridge died Monday March 10, 2003 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Augustana Lutheran Church in Lockridge, with Rev. David Franker officiating. Burial will be in the Upland Cemetery in Round Prairie Township. Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home. The family requests memorial be made to First Augustana Lutheran Church or Upland Cemetery.
Mrs. Calson was born Aug. 12, 1946 in Crawfordsville, the daughter of Ora O. and Alcinda Orris Marlatt. She married Carl F. Carlson January 20, 1968 in Crawfordsville.
Mrs. Carlson was a member of First Augustana Lutheran Church and the women of ELCA in Lockridge. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Crawfordsville.
Survivors include her husband, one son, John Carlson of Lockridge; and one brother, Ora "Sonny" Marlatt of Stanwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Marlatt.
