Conception was a wonderful, kind, loving lady; very much loved by her family. Conception developed sepsis following surgery. She was experiencing pain which she believed was expected following surgery.

Concepcion Elizondo (December 11, 1928 - March 12, 2008)
Concepcion Elizondo was born in Lalagitas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Manuel and Altagracia Cantu on December 11, 1928. She married Humberto Elizondo in 1948, and the couple came to Wasco in 1962. Concepcion loved family gatherings and her grandchildren. She was known for her homemade tortillas, menudo, and her families favorite, Arroz con Polio. Concepcion was an avid church member, and a woman with strong Christian beliefs. She felt her life was very blessed as her family was very large "105 strong". She was a past member of St. John's Church, La Luz del Mundo, and Westside Family Fellowship.
Concepcion was preceded in death by her husband, Humberto (March 1, 1979). She is survived by her children, Yolanda and husband, Gary Cross of Wasco, Humberto and wife, Hermila Elizondo of Texas, Ismael and wife, Martha of Wasco, Javier and wife, Oneida Elizondo of Texas, Oralia and husband, Humberto Salinas of Texas, Juan and wife, Albeza Elizondo of Wasco, Jesus and wife, Julia Elizondo of Texas, Francisca and husband, Wenceloa "Lalo" Salinas of Texas, Guadalupe and wife, Noelia Elizondo of Wasco, Jose and wife, Genoveva Elizondo of Bakersfield, Arturo and wife, Linda Elizondo, and Manuel Elizondo all of Shafter; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other loving family members.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home for Concepcion Elizondo, of Wasco who passed away March 12, 2008, in Houston, Texas. A funeral service was held on Monday.
