Pauline M. Jannings, 77, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 at Homestead Hospice House.

She was born July 29, 1931 in Farmington, Iowa the daughter of Leo and Velma (Steepleton) Benjamin. Pauline was raised in Ventura, Calif. She was a 1949 Graduate of Ventura High School. Pauline married Stanley Jannings on Jan. 28, 1950 in Fairfield, Iowa. She and Stanley moved to the Owatonna area in 1961. Pauline was a homemaker who became licensed to sell real estate. She also enjoyed working part-time at different retail stores in the area. Pauline enjoyed bingo, retail business, reading, traveling, chocolate chip cookie baking and embroidery; in which she won awards for.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley of Owatonna; her son Steven (and Dianne) Jannings of Owatonna; her son, Tom (and Virginia) Jannings of Post Falls, Idaho.; her son, Jeffrey (and Jackie) Jannings of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; her daughter, Sherrill Jannings of Bloomington; her son Michael (and Christine) Jannings of Austin; her grandchildren, Anne (and Ben) Larson, Christopher (and Kara) Jannings, Kyle, Emily, Megan, Melissa and Joshua Jannings; her step-grandchildren, Candace, Patrick and Jacob Zak; a great-grandson, Adam Larson; her sister, Mary (and Ralph) Sutton of Auburn, Calif.; her brother-in-law Harold (and Frances) Jannings; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy (and Gary) Branch and Rayma (and Ron) Brown, along with many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by parents, mother-in-law and a sister-in-law, Betty.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 10, from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Saturday. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home with Chaplain Robert Berry officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers, to the Homestead Hospice House.
