Mr. Bales died Saturday morning at Baylor Hospital in Dallas following a long illness.
He moved to Garland two years ago from Borger.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna; a son, Gregory, and a daughter, Whitney, both of the family home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bonnie Bales of Borger; a brother, Freddie of Borger; two sisters, Mrs. Jackie Anderson and Mrs. Kienard [sic] Hale, both of Garland, and a grandfather, John Bales of Borger.
