Karl L. Hausler , age 83 of Felton, DE, died at his home on Thursday, July 19, 2001.

Mr. Hausler served in the US Air Force during WWII in the 242 Bomb Squad and was a B17 Crew Chief stationed in Grand Island Nebraska. Mr. Hausler retired in 1980 from the Continental Can Co. in Passaic, NJ and the National Cup Co. in Dover, DE. After his retirement, he spent his winters in Florida where he participated in a 40 member choral group entertaining at local nursing homes and RV parks. He belonged to the American Legion Post # 2 in Dover, the AARP, Harrington Senior Center, Milford Senior Center, Dover Modern Maturity Center, and the Felton United Methodist Church. His past memberships included Family Campers and RV's, 55 Bowling League – Milford, and the Dover Dance Club. Some of his greatest childhood memories were meeting aviator Charles A. Lindburg, and going to Yankee Stadium where he met Babe Ruth and Joe Dimagio.

Mr. Hausler is preceded in death by his parents Julius Edwin and Emma Hausler. He is also preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years Shirley Herman Hausler, a daughter Suzanne H. Kovatch, and a stepdaughter Patricia Cox Rawding.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years Musetta Cox Hausler, a daughter and son-in-law Karlene H. and Roger Noble of Pensacola, FL, a son-in-law Ernest Kovatch of Newark, his stepdaughters Janet Mitchell of Milford, Shirley Brewington of Amarillo, TX, and Barbara Boone of Viola, a stepson Charles Cox of Milford, a sister and her husband Lillian and William Trenton of Rutherford, NJ, a step son-in-law George Rawding, Jr. of Felton, 2 brother-in-laws and their wifes James and Priscilla Moore and John E. and Carol Moore all of Felton, 2 grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren.
