Army Pfc Morrisette was assigned to the 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he was an automated logistical specialist. He was killed at the age of 19 in a car accident. Desmond was a graduate of Robertsdale High School in Robertsdale, Alabama and joined the Army in August 2007. His awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
