Louisa Wilson was born in Vinton county (sic), Ohio, Feb. 3, 1848, and died March 18, 1922, at the home of her daughter near Agenda, Kansas, aged 74 years, 1 month and 15 days. She came to Kansas in an early day and settled near Woyne (sic), Kansas. In 1893 she moved to Agenda and has made her home there ever since.
She was married to J.T. Charles on March 13, 1865, and to her were born six children. Two sons, who have gone on before and four daughters, who are left to mourn her loss, Mrs. Sellers Hostuttle (sic), Springton, Idaho; Mrs. Frank Heyer, Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. L.G. Paulin, Belleville, Kas, and Mrs. Ellis Harbaugh, Agenda, Kas. She also leaves two brothers, one sister, sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She joined the Methodist church in her early girlhood days, and lived a faithful member during the remainder of her life.
The funeral services were held at the Agenda church (sic), March 22, Rev. L.B. Tremain of Lebanon, Kas., a former pastor, preaching the sermon, assisted by Mr. Rath, of Agenda, another former pastor, and Rev. Templin. The body was buried in the Wayne cemetery.
