Althea "Glennie" Block, 71, of Bristol, formerly of Plainville, died March 14, 1995, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford.
She was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Plainville, daughter of the late Clarence and Clara (Griswold) May.
She was the widow of Albert T. Block, who died in 1987.
She was a bank manager for the Bank of Boston, and the former Plainville Trust Co.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Bristol, and the Plainville Senior Citizens, where she was the director of the choir.
She leaves two sons, Clifford P. Block, and Glenn Robert Block, both of Bristol; a brother, Robert May of Bristol; and two grandsons, Bryan and Richard Block.
Funeral services were held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Bristol, followed by burial at West Cemetery, Plainville.
