Mrs. Catherine Blanchfield
Mrs. Catherine Blanchfield of No. 666 Windsor avenue died about 6 o'clock last evening of apoplexy (unconsciousness or incapacity resulting from a cerebral hemorrhage or stroke) at St. Francis hospital where she had been a little more than three weeks. She was born in Kings county, Ireland, but had lived in Hartford more than half a century. Mrs. Blanchfield was the widow of James Blanchfield, who died last June at Poughkeepsie, N. Y., where he was working temporarily. She leaves two brothers, James Mahon of this city, and Patrick Mahon of New Haven; and two sisters, Mrs. Christopher Reed of Meriden and one living in Ireland. The body will be taken to the undertaking rooms of M.M. Clarkin and the funeral will be held there and at St. Michael's Church at a time to be determined later.
