OGDEN - John Ray Blanch 92, died Tuesday, October 6, 1998 at a local care center. He was born March 11, 1906 in West Weber, a son of Joseph and Laura May Etherington Blanch. On November 24, 1926, John married Voletta Belnap in Salt Lake City. He was raised and educated in West Weber where he lived for 54 years. He had lived in Ogden for 35 years.

Surviving are his wife of Ogden and one Son, Roger T. (Janet) Blanch, Payson, Arizona; two grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren. John is also survived by one brother, Grant Blanch, Corvallis, Ore.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
