Haines City, Florida - Mr. Holcombe E. Chapman of Haines City died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Kindred Hospital, Bay Area, Tampa, Florida. He was 78.

Born to Shellie Chapman and Vanera Byrd Chapman on July 17, 1928 in Ariton, Alabama, he moved to this area in 1954. He was a sheet metal mechanic for Waldorf's Sheet Metal and a member and past deacon of Eastside Baptist Church, Haines City.

Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Shirley A. McTeer Chapman of Haines City, Florida; daughters, Donna Chapman of Winter Haven, Florida and Wanda Whaley of Lakeland, Florida; stepsons, Gary Harrison of Brandon, Florida, Ronald Harrison of Sebring, Florida; Richard Harrison of Warrenton, Virginia; sister, Evelyn Watson of Ozark, Alabama and seven Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 8, 2006, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, with Reverend Alan Moore and Pastor Ed Howell officiating. Final resting place will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, Florida
