For the Underground Railroad, the farm of Abraham Norris at Bullskin Creek, was one of the earliest hiding places for run away slaves crossing the Ohio River. His fsther was Thomas Norris, born 1743. He came to the Ohio area with the family of his uncles, Aquila and James Norris, whose family, some of which lost everything in a house fire. They had come from Maryland, and migrated to Mason Co., KY, then on to Brown Co., Ohio. He was the husband of (Mary) Ellen Lamb. May he rest in peace.
